Welcome to The Vermont House! We’re excited to host you at our charming historic inn in the heart of Wilmington, Vermont. Our goal is to provide you with a comfortable and memorable stay. To ensure a seamless experience, please review the following Terms and Conditions. By making a reservation with us, you agree to these terms.


1. Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-In Time: From 3:00 PM

    • An innkeeper will be on-site to greet you and check you in.
    • On the morning of your arrival, we’ll send a text message with all the check-in details to the phone number you provided.
  • Check-Out Time: By 10:00 AM

Late Check-Ins: Not a problem! If you plan to arrive after 7:00 PM, just let us know in advance by calling us at 802-275-8926.


2. Reservations and Payment

  • To confirm your reservation, we require a valid credit card with an expiration date beyond your stay.
  • Payment: The credit card on file will be charged in full 24 hours before your stay. Any remaining balances must be settled at check-in.

3. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Please refer to our cancellation policy below:

  • 14 Days or More Before Arrival: No penalty—your reservation will be canceled free of charge.
  • Within 14 Days and Up to 48 Hours Before Arrival: 50% of the total reservation will be charged.
  • Within 48 Hours of Arrival: 100% of the total reservation will be charged.

Additional Policies:

  • The Vermont House may charge a 50% deposit to hold rooms no more than 14 days before your arrival.
  • Shortening your stay within 14 days of the reservation date will result in a 50% charge for the reduced nights.
  • Extra Guests: Additional guests (up to the room maximum) will be charged $30 per guest per night. Children under three stay free.

4. Masks and Health Guidelines

For the safety of all our guests, masks are required in all common areas of the building. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a healthy environment.


5. Dining at The Vermont House

Currently, there is no dining available on-site. However, Wilmington offers several great restaurants just a short walk from the property. We’re happy to provide recommendations!


6. SMS Messaging Policy

By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS messages from The Vermont House. These messages are designed to enhance your experience and may include:

  • Reservation confirmations and updates
  • Check-in details and important information
  • Occasional promotional offers

Message Frequency:

  • Expect 1–2 messages related to your stay. Additional promotional messages may be sent occasionally.

Costs:

  • Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opt-Out Instructions:

  • To stop receiving messages, text STOP to our text message.

Help Instructions:

  • For assistance, text HELP to our text message or contact us directly.

7. Liability

While we do everything we can to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay, The Vermont House cannot be held responsible for:

  • Lost or stolen personal belongings
  • Delays or inconveniences caused by weather or other unforeseen events

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions as needed. Any updates will be posted on our website and will apply to future reservations.
